Footsteps clicked down the hall in a metallic fashion, a slight hum in the air. A hard-set man with white hair and pale skin walked, his military outfit adorned with various metals of war. Stopping before a door, he taped the panel next to it, the door sliding up with ease. Inside the room he found the man he wanted.

"Who the hel-" Captain Mitchell started to demand, before freezing. Before him stood General MacKnight, who wore a smug smile on his face. "Sir, I wasn't expecting you."

"I tend to make visits uninvited," General MacKnight quipped. "Are you surprised?"

"Not really," Captain Mitchell dryly responded. "Sir, might I ask, what are you doing here?"

"Ah, that is the question of the hour. What am I doing here indeed is the very question of everyone located within the Aqua Base." General MacKnight half smiled, half sneered. "Assemble the Lightspeed Rangers, and Dr. Fairweather as well... I intend to show you the future of combating the anomalies."

"The future, General?" Captain Mitchell asked.

"Yes, the future," General MacKnight replied. "The future of this planet indeed!"

"Brother!" Loki called to Diabolico, as he entered his brother's room. "I have come to warn you...it frightens me so, but Bansheera was speaking ill of you when I discussed plans with her this morning for the destruction of earth!"

"How so?" Diabolico demanded, Loki shaking his head in rage. Diabolico stood from his tending to his daughter Dara of her wounds, the demoness still suffering from her wounds for being blasted at point blank range by the Blue Ranger.

"It is that plotting witch Vypra for sure!" Loki growled. "It must be her! Why would Dara speak ill of her own father to Bansheera? Nor would Jinxer, he's a loner, he is only around when he is needed!"

"I do not care what lies Vypra spreads behind my back!" Diabolico countered. "She can tell Queen Bansheera whatever she wants, the Emperor knows that I am loyal to his will, and as long as that is clear, I needn't worry!"

"I hope so brother," Loki stated. "Still, I will protect your name, my brother! I will not allow that foul witch Vypra to harm you in any way!"

"What do you have planned?" Diabolico demanded. "I don't want demons fighting in my ranks!"

"Don't worry brother," Loki chuckled. "No fighting at all. I'm merely going to show that bitch what true demons are like. I'll interfere with her next plan, and will be sure to make a fool of her. Then the Queen will find it against her better judgment to listen to that Vypra speak lies and rumors behind your back!"

With a ferocious roar, Loki spun around, battle axe in hand as he left the chambers. Entering the throne room, he glared at Vypra as she spoke to Bansheera, staring at her from behind a nearby pillar.

"Vypra, I grow wary of seeing Earth exist!" Bansheera spat. "The foul stench of life curses the will of the Emperor! I want you to take a demon to Earth, and destroy it!"

"Queen Bansheera!" Loki interrupted the two before Vypra could respond. "I have been eager for a chance to prove myself in battle against the Rangers, to show you just how strong I am! Allow me to lead this attack against Earth for you!"

"No!" Vypra shouted. "Loki has already proven himself as a failure! He failed once against the Rangers, he will for sure fail a second time! You must allow me to destroy them, as I am the only demon capable of such a deed!"

"You both have failed me!" Bansheera roared, halting the demons in their tracks. "Therefore you both shall take a demon with you to Mariner Bay, and crush those pathetic Rangers once and for all!"

Loki sneered at Vypra. His plan had worked. Now he would go to Earth and destroy the Rangers before Vypra could, and prove her for the failure she truly was. "It would be my honor to fight alongside Vypra to enlist the will of Emperor Asmordian!"

Vypra snarled with rage, storming from the room in disgust. Outside, she found Jinxer leaning against the wall, a rather smug smile against his face. "Bad luck today Vypra?"

"Don't get me started! That damned brother of Diabolico, Loki is ruining everything I have planned!" Vypra raged. "I need a demon card now!"

Sighing, Jinxer removed his deck of cards from his armor, handing the entire deck to Vypra. Vypra shuffled throughout the entire deck, looking for the strongest card. Finally she found her pick, a wicked smile crossing her lips. "Excellent choice Vypra, that's one of the strongest demons I have to offer, Thundax!"

"He'll only get stronger." Vypra wickedly smiled, delving into Impus's chambers. Cautiously stepping forward, she glanced around to make sure no one was watching. She laughed as the child began to wail fear, Vypra clamping her hand over the struggling infant to quite him.

"Shut the hell up, you brat!" Vypra snarled, pressing the card into Impus's hands. She smiled with disgust as Impus empowered the card with great energy against his will. Thinking, Vypra continued to let Impus grasp the card in his hand, the infant still empowering the card with his life force as he began to weaken and his life force degrade. Finally falling backwards, Vypra stared at the near dead Impus with delight.

"Dara's little pet seems to be all out of energy!" Vypra cackled as she left the chambers. Glancing to her left, she saw Loki walking toward her, the witch quickly hiding her powerful demon card behind her back.

"Ready?" Loki demanded. "I have a legion of vampires ready to fight by our side!"

"Perfect!" Vypra cackled, the two teleporting away in a flash of lightning.

CyberForce Unleashed

"You see them?" Kendrix whispered, crouched against the nearest wall, a blaster in hand. "What are they doing?"

"The vampires are trailing several humans," Chad responded, a blur racing along the street. Both Kelsey and Ryan flanked on either side of Kendrix as they followed Chad, who was using his speed to boost himself ahead.

"They're circling around!" Chad reported. "Seven of them to be exact! They seem to be hunting two young couples and several teenagers. Do we need armor are not?"

"No armor, we can take em' with our blasters!" Kendrix responded. "Left, Right, Squadron Delta! Go!"

With a sharp nod, Kelsey and Ryan raced forward, leaping up either side of the street as they raced along the side. Chad vaulted himself onto the roof, leaping from building to building before coming down. "Shit!" Kendrix cursed. "Joel, where the hell is Joel?"

"He said he'd be back ten minutes ago!" Kelsey responded. "Saw a flower stand and ran off!"

"In the middle of a routine check up?" Ryan snarled. "Nice going Kendrix! We need him!"

"I'll deal with him later!" Kendrix retorted. "Just keep to the vampire!"

The four Rangers drew close, blasters aimed as they targeted the vampires. Rushing forward, they slammed forward, stunning the vampires with quick laser fire. "Get down before they use you as shields!" Kelsey screamed, too the innocents who seemed oblivious to the laser fire.

"Kendrix they see us now!" Ryan shouted. "They're moving into place, all seven are trying to ring us in!"

"Get the hell out of here!" Chad shouted. But the innocents suddenly whirled around, snarling as their faces shifted into that of a demonic nature. The four Rangers froze as the vampires came charging forward, their black armor warping around them as they clawed across the ground.

"My god..." Kendrix whispered. "They set a trap... they actually set a trap!"

"I'm surprised too, major, but now isn't the best of times!" Kelsey shouted, bringing her bracer up. "The hell with taking them out with our bracers! Lightspeed Engage!"

"Lightspeed Engage!" both Ryan and Chad shouted, engaging their armor as well. But as usual, Kendrix opted for her old transformation phrase, 'Let's Jet!'. No longer did she get odd stares, as the other Rangers had grown used to it. They just preferred the later better than the 'Let's Jet!'

Arcing her Medi-Boa forward, Kendrix tore through the arm of a vampire, before ramming her weapon through the vampire's heart and causing it to burst into ash. Kelsey swung her weapons around her, the vampires screaming in pain as she tore through them with ease. She then brought them cracking down upon the head of a vampire, the armor exploding as the head crushed on impact.

For Ryan, he held his blaster in one hand, stunning the vampires around him, before decapitating their heads from shoulder with a swing of his Shield Saber. He had no problem tearing apart the vampires, slicing them to bits as they fell in pieces around him. Then moving his saber downwards, he tore through the stomach of the nearest vampire, fresh guts exploding over him.

"You must have been a new recruit," Ryan grumbled, letting the blood slid down his armor. "How fun."

Chad swung his nunchukus through the air, slamming the various vampires backwards with aggressive precision. Leaping into the air, he brought his hands slamming together, forming his sphere of water energy as it coursed through his hands, a sharp cry echoing his throat as he hurled his attack forward, the water elemental attack tearing through the remainder of the vampires and killing them.

"This is bad." Kendrix flatly stated as the four Rangers saw the vampires were dead. "Before the vampires would only come out at night to search for innocent victims to feed upon and transform into more childer... now they seem to come out during the evening hours of the day as well..."

"What's to stop them from coming out in full daylight and attacking the city?" Kelsey asked. "It seems that Diabolico is letting his vampires roam the streets, with hopes of building his armors full of fresh vampires overtime, replacing the old and worn out ones."

"Now for problem number two," Ryan muttered. "What are you going to do about Joel? He totally left us to go pursue someone!"

"I'll deal with him when the time comes!" Kendrix snapped. "And believe me, he won't ever think leaving this or any patrol for the matter when I am through with him, ever!"

"Major Morgan, come in, this Captain Mitchell!"

"Copy Captain Mitchell, what do you need? We have yet to finish our vampire patrol!"

"We're sending replacement troops to take over. Gather the Rangers and return to base immediately. A situation has arisen, that must be dealt with. Return to the Aqua Base immediately."

"Copy that."

"Are your soldiers always this late?" General MacKnight demanded, Ryan, Kelsey, Kendrix, Chad, Dr. Fairweather, and Captain Mitchell waiting for the final arrival, Joel.

"No sir." Captain Mitchell shook his head. "As you know, we enlisted two civilians to take over as the Yellow and Green Lightspeed Rangers. One of the civilians is very disciplined, while the other... still needs to be taught a few lessons."

"That won't be a problem soon enough." General MacKnight stated, Captain Mitchell and Dr. Fairweather staring at him in surprise. Did he know something they did not?

"Hello ladies!" Joel announced as he entered the room. Glancing around, he spotted Dr. Fairweather, rushing over to her. "Hello beautiful! Couldn't help but notice that you needed some roses to liven up your day stuck in the lab. Thought I'd pick some up for you!"

"Thank you... I guess." Dr. Fairweather blushed, looking rather embarrassed. General MacKnight frowned at Joel, shaking his head.

"Cadet!" General MacKnight snapped. "You've had us waiting for over fifteen minutes! While the rest of the Rangers arrived on time, you were late to this meeting by bringing...flowers?!"

"Who the hell are you?" Joel demanded, grabbing a seat as he sat down. "And why in damn hell are you talking to me like your owner over this world? And where is that fat ass General MacKnight? I want to tell him a thing or too about egocentric fools!"

Dr. Fairweather cleared her throat. "This is General MacKnight, Joel."

Joel's eyes widened in horror, a smug look befalling the face of General MacKnight. "With all due respect...I was kidding!"

"We'll talk later." Kendrix hissed in his ear, a nasty sting to her voice. Gripping his shoulder with unparalleled strength, she squeezed hard. "Count on it!"

Joel winced in pain, somberly sliding into his seat. "Ow! Grip of steel, girl!"

General MacKnight stood, shaking his head as he tapped the wall, the door sliding open. Leading them outside, the eight took a lift to the above decks where a transport was waiting. With a nod, General MacKnight led the Rangers to it, taking a seat.

After an hour of driving, they pulled into a temporary base that had been set up outside Mariner Bay, Captain Mitchell frowning. "Why wasn't I notified of this, General?"

"We felt the Aqua Base did not need to know the presence of our operations," MacKnight responded. "Only now are we showing you what was once a Black Opts division."

A lieutenant came running up to the side of General MacKnight, quickly handing the officer a folder. As MacKnight reviewed the contents, the lieutenant twisted around, glancing at the Lightspeed Rangers before introducing himself. "Hello Captain Mitchell, Dr. Fairweather, Rangers. I'm Lieutenant Barkley, General MacKnight has assigned me to guide you throughout Project CyberForce."

"Project CyberForce?" Captain Mitchell repeated with a concerned look. "Is this some kind of joke?"

"No sir," Lieutenant Barkley continued. "This operation is very much reality."

"General MacKnight, I don't understand," Dr. Fairweather stated. "Mariner Bay already has an operation heading to protect the city. Lightspeed has been doing an excellent job defending the city so far."

"Which is noted," General MacKnight responded. "Yet innocents are still being transformed into anomalies. Clearly this is a problem that needs to be dealt with fast, before the aggressors kill everyone in this city!"

"And we could have done that a lot sooner if you had just listened to our theories!" Kendrix snapped. General MacKnight's attitude at faulting them with Mariner Bay's troubles angered her to no end now. All five of the Rangers put their lives on the line fighting to save innocents!

"And my theory at the time was Lightspeed's resources couldn't be tapped to thin." General MacKnight dryly responded. "Why the unjustified anger, Major Morgan?"

"The anger sir is very justified! You treat us as though we don't put our lives on the line, going into the city and fighting vampires and demons, putting ourselves at risk for the people of this planet!" Kendrix snapped.

General MacKnight's face deepened a crimson color of rage as he stared at Kendrix, trying to contain his visible anger. "Lieutenant Barkley, show Captain Mitchell, Dr. Fairweather, and the Lightspeed Rangers the future of combating alien aggressors...

"Their replacements!"

"Sir?" Captain Mitchell demanded in surprise, but General MacKnight only sneered, twisting away as he abruptly left the man behind. Dr. Fairweather shook her head, Lieutenant Barkley leading the seven into the compound.

"As you can see, we have only recently set up base, but we are in the process of building an installment compound," Lieutenant Barkley began, waving his hand through the tented structure. "Nothing much compared to that fancy Aqua Base of yours... but it will still do as you can see."

"Interesting," Captain Mitchell remarked sarcastically. "Cut to the chase Lieutenant. What does General MacKnight mean that his team is going to replace my Rangers with the 'future of combating alien aggressors'? For one thing, we're fighting demonic forces, not alien technologicals."

Lieutenant Barkley sighed, glancing at the five Rangers before leading them into a nearby room. Pointing to several suits, he nodded, all eight of them slipping into the outfits. Leading them into a small room, a glass door slid down, and decontamination hypo spray injecting into the room and cleaning everyone. Entering the room, Lieutenant Barkley explained. "As you know this operation is called Project CyberForce. Now CyberForce is made of the latest technology to be developed, cultivated from several alien colonies."

But the five Lightspeed Rangers were not listening to the droning report of Lieutenant Barkley. Neither were Captain Mitchell or Dr. Fairweather. They were staring at perfect replicas of the Lightspeed Rescue Armor, albeit a bit different. "Lieutenant Barkley... forgive me for asking," Kelsey stuttered. "But what in the hell is that?"

"This is the product of the hard labor of personal here at Project CyberForce!" Lieutenant Barkley proudly said. "These are the CyberForce Rangers."

Just like the Lightspeed Rangers, there were five Rangers. Red, Green, Blue, Yellow, and Pink made up the individual Ranger color. But they were tinted with some sort of crimson metal, which made their armor sparkle brightly. This was obviously meant so that individuals would be able to tell them apart from the Lightspeed Rangers. Their opposing color was black, unlike the Lightspeed Rangers whose opposing color was white. Also a rather noticeable difference was a black spire jutted and curved from the forehead of each CyberForce Ranger.

"Who called in the rip off squad?" Joel snorted. "They look like someone tried to make living size metal action figures of us!"

At this statement, Lieutenant Barkley's face grew crimson. "To inform you, Mister Rawlings, I am rather fond of Dr. Fairweather's and Major Morgan's armor designs. I thought it only fair that the armor design of the CyberForce Rangers should appreciate their artwork, since the CyberForce Rangers are the ones replacing their months of work."

"You're the one that designed them?" Kelsey spat in disgust. "Seems to me you simply don't have an artistic direction."

"I'll have you know these CyberForce Rangers are capable of beating any alien out of existence!" Lieutenant Barkley snapped back.

"They're demons, not aliens!" Ryan snapped coldly. "Doesn't matter though, your 'Project CyberForce' is moving in on unwanted territory! Territory we don't want to be moved in upon! So back the hell off and run back to the lab you crawled out of!"

"I'm more than just a scientist, I'm also a trained marine," Barkley spat as he glared at Ryan. "Call me any day and we can resolve this matter the old fashioned way. The simple fact is, the Lightspeed Rangers are being replaced by CyberForce Rangers. Frankly, I don't understand why you aren't happy. Don't you understand that you no longer have to put your lives in danger, fighting these anomalies? If we lose an android, we can rebuild a replacement. That isn't possible if a human Ranger dies."

"We choose to put our lives on the line!" Chad argued. "This is what we do! I don't care what the General thinks, I'm not going to let a stupid robot take over my spot in this war! I'm fighting these demons no matter what."

Lieutenant Barkley smiled a plastic grin, pointing to the door as he led the Rangers from the lab. "How about I finish up this tour so you can return to the Aqua Base. Which will soon be the base of my Rangers."

Kendrix glanced at Dr. Fairweather and Captain Mitchell, both who were still too speechless to say anything. Finally Dr. Fairweather spoke up, shaking her head. "There is one flaw to this matter, Lieutenant."

"And what would that be?"

"Robots simply follow orders," she stated. "They lack the emotion needed in combat to sometimes achieve a new power level and rise to higher strengths, not to mention learn and adapt. Don't you understand this that the emotion in combat is essential? And what if something goes wrong and you lose control over the androids...what then?"

"Your problems are noted," Lieutenant Barkley said, then shrugged. "Guess we'll deal with them when they arrive. Now...moving on. Here is our weapons division lab."

As the others moved away, Kendrix saw this was her chance to have a 'talk' with Joel about his disappearance. "Get over here!" she snapped, grabbing him by the shoulder and pulling him near.

"Yeah Major, I'm just as pissed off about this as you are... trying to replace us with fancy robots, yeah right!" Joel said, glaring after Barkley.

"That's not what I'm talking about!" Kendrix spat. "Are you even interested in being a Ranger?"

"Of course!" Joel responded, a shocked look on his face. "Why do you ask? Haven't I proven myself to you in battle?"

"Before you did, but I'm beginning to think I'm mistaken. I think we made a mistake letting you on as a Ranger, Mister Rawlings. You're always late to training exercises and always have a complaint about something. At first I didn't have a problem with it, you were a civilian after all. But Kelsey has been doing fine, and obeys orders regardless of how she thinks or feels! You on the other hand, you're a failure! You're an ass about everything and you cause hell for us all! Did you know we could have died today in our patrol?! We needed you and you weren't there for us! Our deaths would have been on your hands!"

"Major!" Joel sputtered, but couldn't say anything more. It was almost impossible, but Kendrix could have sworn she saw tears glistening in his eyes. But for some reason, that only made her rage grow.

"If you want to remain a Ranger, you had better start acting like one!" Kendrix snapped, grabbing his arm and lifting it up. "Or else I'll break your arm and tear the Bracer off your wrist, regardless of how well the powers work with you! I don't care what you do Joel, but within the next twenty four hours you had better prove yourself as a Ranger like everyone else has on this team, or else you be tossed out like that trash you have been lately!"

Somberly nodding, Joel made no reply, quickly turning away and running to catch up with the others. Kendrix paused, surprised with herself. Never before had she exploded in such away, and really, when she thought about it, had Joel deserved to be treated that way? True, he wasn't the perfect person, but no one was. Was she letting the stress of being a scientist and Ranger get to her? Regardless, she felt she had said the right thing. This would only scare Joel into shaping up.

"I'm sorry Joel, but I said what I had to say to keep you on this team," Kendrix sighed. "You may hate me from now on...but that's the price I'm willing to pay to keep you in check..."

Vypra paused before a newspaper stand as a young, well fit man stopped before it to buy a magazine. "He's perfect." Vypra said, admiring the human's well-built physique. Stepping forward, Loki tossed a flame at the stand, causing it to explode, killing the unneeded innocents. Throwing the card from her hand, it struck the human male in the back, shifting into a demonic thunder demon.

"And you are?" Thundax demanded, stretching his arms outwards. Spikes rose and covered his body, a sharp horn curving from his forehead. Lightning energy crackled and coursed throughout his body, this demon obviously the most powerful fiend yet because of the energy that Vypra had drained from Impus.

"I am Vypra, loyal servant to the Grand Dame Bansheera, and the Emperor Asmordian!"

"I am Loki, brother of the demon lord Diabolico, also loyal servant to Asmordian's Empire! Thundax, we require that you aid us in destroying this wretched city Mariner Bay, as well as the Rangers that protect it!" Loki ordered, assuming command before Vypra had the chance.

"Duke Loki, heard of you before," Thundax remarked. Vypra glared at Loki, before summoning a legion of vampires to aid them. "Full out assault on the city, is it. Allow me to demonstrate my newfound abilities!"

Vypra flashed a frightened look at Loki, scared he might catch on that she had used Impus to feed Thundax more energy. But Loki paid no attention to the comment, more interested in what Thundax had to show for his power.

Thundax fired one of his arms forward, several spikes shooting from his arm and striking into a nearby building. Lightning struck down from the sky, striking the building and causing it to explode in a huge inferno of fire. "Perfect!" Loki cackled. "When the Rangers arrive, we merely have to strike them down with lightning, and then the Lightspeed Rangers shall cease to exist as we know it! No human can withstand such brutal force! Vypra, I find myself commending you on an excellent choice! How did you manage to find such a powerful monster?"

"I guess it was by chance," Vypra said, wrapping her arm around Thundax. "Come, let's destroy the city and get this over with!"

Loki gripped his battle-axe, nodding with delight at the thought of killing innocents so easily. For the time being, it seemed he had forgotten about making a fool of his enemy, and was by far more interested in violence and chaos.

"Yes Vypra, let the destruction commence!"

Lieutenant Barkley was in the middle of explaining the weapons divisions to Captain Mitchell, who was at the least trying to fend a look of utter boredom when it happened. A sharp piercing screech filled the base, Captain Mitchell suddenly straightening up out of reflex. "Rep-" he began to say, before pausing. This damned project was MacKnight's.

Lieutenant Barkley ran off, listening for several minutes to an officer. He then returned, a slight smile on his face. "Three anomalies have attacked the city, and a legion of vampires is with them. Now would be the perfect opportunity to test the CyberForce Rangers."

He turned to leave before pausing. "I guess, Captain Mitchell, you may send the Lightspeed Rangers in to finish the job. Of course, we'll be handling everything once your Rangers fail at defeating the demons."

"We'll see that much," Kelsey sneered. "Just make sure your pathetic robots don't get in the way!"

With a snort, Lieutenant Barkley left the room, the Rangers quickly running from the base. Joel lagged behind; still hurt from the beating that Kendrix had given him. Did everyone think of him as a failure? Maybe Kendrix was right... "I may be trash now, but like hell I'm going to remain trash! I'm so going to kick mess up this one! I'm personally going to kill all three of these demons, and prove myself to everyone, especially that fat ass General MacKnight just how good I am!"

"Lightspeed Engage!" he shouted, activating his armor as the five Rangers leapt into a humvee, starting the engine as they shot down the road leading to the city.

Thundax was having the time of his life tormenting innocent citizens, currently focusing on trapping people within their cars. Laughing aloud, he fired multiple shots of lightning across the road, causing various cars to explode, the innocent citizens trapped inside dying with the inferno of flame. "This is excellent!" Loki approved. Twisting around, he saw the Rangers driving up.

"Not now!" Loki raged. "Vypra, stay with Thundax! I'll take down the Rangers myself! Kindred, follow me!"

Ryan leapt from the vehicle, the other four behind him as Loki hurled black flame at the humvee, causing it to explode as they left it just in time. Extending his Shield Saber, Ryan snorted in disgust. "Loki, I believe you called yourself. Didn't get enough of 'I like to get my ass kicked' last time? That's alright, we're always here to kick the hell out of you any day of the week!"

"You will not talk to a loyal servant of Asmordian in such a matter!" Loki roared. "You'll pay for insolence human!"

"Move out!" Kendrix ordered, glaring at Joel. "And try to stay in battle without flirting with some 'chick'!"

"Don't worry, Major!" Joel shouted. "I ain't runnin' from no one!"

Aero Blades in hand, Joel charged forward, striking into several vampires as they attempted to surround Kelsey. Before the Yellow Ranger could put her Tonfu Strikers to use, Joel was busy decapitating the vampires, unleashing a brute strength she had never seen before.

Vampires glanced up at the Green Ranger in surprise as he brought his hands over the blades, energizing them with a pulsing green energy. He spun in circles, whirling past the vampires as he slammed his energized blades through the various vampires, tearing through them with wild precision and transforming them instantly into ash. "How the hell is he so strong?" Kelsey gasped in shock.

"I don't know, but I'm guessing our rage can give us an extra power boost sometimes." Chad responded. "It's happened in the past with me when I use my water magics, maybe it's something we all can access in the powers."

"So the Green Ranger wants to prove himself?" Loki cackled. "Thundax, get them!"

The remaining vampires regrouped, as more came exploding from the ground. Thundax came charging forward, slamming into the Green Ranger and throwing him to the ground. With a roar, Joel jumped back up to his feet, energizing the blades a second time and leaping into the air as he slammed them forward, emerald energy slamming forward and blasting Loki, Vypra, and Thundax backwards.

"So he thinks he's a brute force?" Thundax demanded. "You'll learn was real power is, Green Ranger, all of you will!"

Swinging his hand forward, he shot his spikes at the five Rangers, grounding them striking the ground where the Rangers stood. Lightning roared from the sky, slamming into all five Rangers and knocking them to the ground. The Rangers screams could be heard above the roar as they fell to the ground, greatly weakened.

Vypra cackled, pointing her sword forward. "What do you think we should do Loki? Take out the trash?"

"Perhaps." Loki chuckled. "Or shall we torment their pitiful souls for the rest of eternity?"

"Halt!" a mechanized voice shouted. From seemingly nowhere, a multi-spectrum blast of energy shot, striking into Vypra and Loki and knocking them backwards. Various blasts of energy struck through the sky, slamming into vampires and transforming them into ash.

"What the hell?" Chad coughed. "Who's helping us?"

"Is it MegaSilver?" Kendrix demanded, hopeful that the mysterious hero was coming to their aid. But no, it was not MegaSilver as the crimson and metallic forms of themselves emerged through the shadows.

"Other Lightspeed Rangers?" Thundax demanded. "You said nothing about there being ten Rangers to destroy!"

"There aren't!" Vypra shouted, growing frightened. "At least there weren't! Who are you?"

"CyberForce!" the five androids shouted, striking a battle stance as their spires pulsed with energy. The CyberForce Red drew a longer, heavy version of Shield Saber. CyberForce Pink extended a Medi-Boa in either hand, striking a battle stance as well. CyberForce Green drew longer, more bulky versions of the Aero Blades, as CyberForce Yellow drew brutal versions of the Tonfu Strikers. CyberForce Blue drew a set of Hydro Stormers, the nunchukus looking only slightly more slender then Chad's weapons.

"More Rangers?" Vypra gasped. "No! Even more maggots to deal with! They can't possibly have their own battle machines as well!"

"I don't know, and I don't care!" Loki raged, aggressively placing his axe outwards. "Vypra, Kindred of my command, aid me in destroying these new arrivals! Thundax, finish the job, kill the Rangers!"

"Which ones?" Thundax demanded, glancing in between the fallen Rangers, and the CyberForce Rangers.

"Lightspeed!" Vypra snarled. "Slaughter them!"

As Vypra and Loki raced forward with the vampires, engaging the CyberForce Rangers, Thundax cackled, eyeing the five struggling Rangers with delight. "Which one shall I kill first? Green, Red, Blue, Yellow, or Pink, so many choices, so many possibilities!"

Having the vampires engage the CyberForce Rangers was the biggest mistake Loki and Vypra made, the Rangers raising their weapons as they charged forward as well. Their weapons struck through the vampires, easily destroying them as flesh and blood exploded around the CyberForce Rangers.

The vampires screamed in pain as they began to fall fastly, unable to penetrate the metal armor, their fangs and claws having no effect at all. The weapons that the CyberForce Rangers used as well were stronger as they beat the remaining few vampires into near oblivion, the gore quickly subsiding.

"You haven't won yet!" Vypra screamed, racing forward as she struck into the Red CyberForce Ranger. CyberForce Red swung his Shield Saber forward, slamming her backwards with a deadly slash as he sent her sprawling across the ground. Raising the sword above his head, he brought it slamming into the ground, Vypra lunging away just in time as the sword pierced into the cement.

"I don't believe it..." Vypra coughed. "They're more powerful then the Rangers!"

"They aren't human either!" Loki growled. "These five are machines, that's why they're so strong!"

"We can still beat them!" Vypra snarled. "Loki!"

Loki spun at her warning, raising his axe as he blocked the strikes of CyberForce Green and Yellow, whilst CyberForce Pink and Blue engaged Vypra. CyberForce Red swung his hand across his blade, energizing the heavy sword with energy as the other four Rangers held the demons in place with their unnatural strength, the energy tearing through them.

"Commands received," CyberForce Red's mechanized voice came, as the five Rangers received information from Lieutenant Barkley. "Proceed to terminate anomaly aliens!"

Vypra slowly stood, angered greatly at having been bested by these robots. Regardless, she would win. Slamming her sword forward, vampires exploded from the ground, racing forward and engaging the CyberForce Rangers. She knew it was futile, but at least it could buy her and Loki the time needed to analyze these CyberForce Rangers so they could destroy them.

Kendrix growled as she glanced around, seeing that they were still recovering from Thundax's powerful lightning attack. She glanced to her left, seeing Joel was the one most capable of moving. "Joel!" she snapped. "You're able to move, hold that son of a bitch off while I get the others back up!"

Joel rushed forward, green energy sparking around him. Extending either hand, he soared forward as he slashed away at the demon, his Aero Blades slicing through as he began to slash away at Thundax with inhuman precision. But the demon cackled, obviously enjoying this encounter as he caught Joel's hand, lifting the young man into the air and slamming him into the ground. "Pathetic human, your rage may make you strong, but I am unlike any demon you have ever, I repeat, ever fought before!"

The other Rangers could only watch in horror as Joel was lifted into the air and brutally slammed into the Earth. Thundax repeatedly struck away at Joel with currents of lightning, slamming the Ranger backwards with brutal force. Joel screamed in pain as his body electrified, himself falling to one knee.

"Can't....give....Up!"

"Joel!" Kelsey screamed. "Give it up!"

"No!" Joel slowly stood. "This asshole is dead!"

Joel came rushing forward, but Thundax easily leapt aside, dodging the blow. Leaping into the air, he spun as he slammed his foot into the Green Rangers, sparks exploding as he knocked him backwards. Slamming on the ground, he raised his armored hands into the air, repeatedly slamming them down on Joel, brutally beating him.

"You're the most pathetic Ranger I have ever laid my eyes upon!" Thundax growled. Spinning the Green Ranger away, he laughed as the beaten Joel slowly stood. "Your death!"

Joel screamed in pain as Thundax spikes shot into him, piercing into his armor, as they struck deep. With a wave of his hand, Thundax brought the lightning upon the Green Rangers, igniting and electrifying Joel with his unholy power. Joel screamed in anguish, as an inferno of fire exploded around him, knocking him from his feet. As the smoke cleared, Joel slowly stood, his visor shattered as he looked out.

"God, what did I do?" Kendrix whispered. "I'm trying to hard to be like Matt... Joel, get the hell out of there!"

But it was already to late, as with a final lunge, he moved forward, before falling to both knees as his armor disengaged.

"Joel!" Kelsey screamed, tears pouring from her eyes. "Move it!"

Joel didn't get a chance to respond as Thundax lunged his hand forward, spikes firing from his hand. Joel screamed in pain yet again whole the spikes pierced into him. This time, they ripped into his flesh, piercing his back and gut for he no longer had his armor to protect himself. The four Lightspeed Rangers cried out in horror, a huge storm of electricity falling from the sky and striking into Joel, thunder and lightning swirling through his body. Blood began to seep from his eyes and mouth, as Joel fell to the ground, and into a seizure, Kelsey fighting her pain and she raced forward to shield Thundax from hurting Joel anymore.

"I'm sorry for failing you Kendrix..." Joel managed to whisper, before collapsing to the ground. Shaking uncontrollably, Kendrix fought her tears.

"No!" Kendrix screamed. "God damnit, no! Ryan, stats?"

"Nothing," Ryan quietly said. "His body is charged with too much electrics... I can't get a read out. But I'm getting a faint pulse... Chad, radio for help, now!"

"Joel..." Chad whispered, before nodding and running off.

"This is my fault..." Kendrix sobbed, falling to one knee. "This is all my fault! I ordered him to go in and give us time, I thought he could handle it. This is all my...Aaaaaaahhhh!"

Jumping to her feet, Kendrix gave into her rage and anger. She let it consume her, take her away in its violent spirit and soul. Primal instinct and rage pulsed through her mind as pink light coursed over his body while golden energy rimmed along. "Die, you son of a bitch!"

Energy sparked around her, Ryan and Kelsey staring in shock as Kendrix's armor shifted, completely transforming into Delta Pink. With a savage, cat like roar, Kendrix fell to the ground, charging across it at speeds unimaginable or even capable of being comprehended.

She spun, extending to her feet as she clashed with Thundax, knocking him to the ground. With a roar, she lifted him into the air, brutally slamming him into the ground as she slashed away at him. Leaping into the air, her right arm shifted into the Lightspeed armor, as the Medi-Boa formed into it. With a cackle, she let her armor transfigure before her, forming into a perfect combination of her armors.

"What are you?" Thundax demanded, fearing for his life.

Kendrix said nothing, could say nothing except a feral scream that sounded as if it was that of a wild cat. Her visor seemed to act just like a mouth as it reshaped to reflect the motion of roaring.

"Stay away!" Thundax screamed.

With another roar, Kendrix drew her hand over the Medi-Boa as a storm of pink energy crackled around the bladed weapon. Arcing it into the air as she brought it slashing through the thunder demon once before spinning and slashing again, She spiked it down a second time and slammed it through the gut of the demon. Thundax fell backwards, roaring in pain as he clutched his gut.

"Holy shit!" Kelsey exclaimed in horror. She finally realized that Kendrix wasn't even thinking like a human anymore, she was completely a savage beast!

Kendrix growled deeply, extending her fingers like claws as a torrent of pink energy ripped around her hands, forming into cat like talon. Swinging her hand down, she slammed her fist through the arm of Thundax, severing it totally off.

The demon could only stare at the stump in horror before the Ranger brought her other hand down, ripping off the other arm as well. Thundax stood to his feet, staring at his arms as black blood shot like rockets from the stumps. "This...this can't be! You're worse than even a Dark Lord!"

Kendrix growled ferally, slashing him across the chest, as she ripped herself through his body. The demon fell to the ground, somehow managing to cling to the living world. Roaring loudly, Kendrix brought both of her hands slamming down into the flesh, tearing through the organs as she found what she needed. Raising Thundax into the air, she ripped the heart from his body, crushing it in her hand as black blood sprayed over her, the demon Thundax falling dead to the ground in a massive explosion of fire, his body parts littering the ground after his violent death. Roaring as pain suddenly shot through her body, Kendrix fell, losing her transformation.

As she finally came to with her own mind, Kendrix found her hands covered in demonic blood, but the vengeance had not made her feel any better. "This is all my fault!"

The CyberForce Rangers readied their weapons, once more tearing through the vampires as they had before. Vypra grabbed her sword, drawing a second one in her other hand as she crossed the blade, uneasily staring at the androids with uneasiness.

"Loki, here they come!" she screamed, the robotic Rangers breaking through the ranks of the Vampires, having slain them all as they came exploding forward. Loki met their charge, striking into CyberForce Red with his axe as he repeatedly slashed the mechanical ranger backwards, but the robot ignored his blows.

"Resistance is futile," CyberForce Red's monotone voice proclaimed. "You will yield!"

"I'll never surrender to a construct!"

"Then you shall be terminated," CyberForce Pink repeated. "Aggression is futile. Resistance is futile. You shall be destroyed."

"You machines are not one for many words," Vypra jested, trying to distract the CyberForce Rangers. "How cliché."

"Words are meaningless," CyberForce Green answered. "Action is meaning."

"Surrender or be destroyed," CyberForce Blue stated.

"We choose the third option," Loki shouted. "Destroy the machines!"

Thrusting his hand forward, black fire wrapped itself around his hand, Loki engaging the lead CyberForce Ranger. But the Red CyberForce Ranger caught it, slowly bending the hand down, before tossing the blast aside. Drawing the Shield Saber, the robot gripped the hilt with blades, slamming it into Loki and sending the demon sprawling backwards.

CyberForce Blue swung his nunchukus forward, driving Vypra backwards. The remaining robot rangers drew rifles, aiming them and blasting the demoness with precise precision. Vypra found herself falling backwards and screaming in pain.

"Engage destruction of target," CyberForce Red said, as he received the next set of orders from the base. Vypra and Loki slowly stood as the CyberForce Rangers brought their hands punching forward, intent on destroying the two demons.

But in a flash, either demon teleported away, appearing several hundred yards away. "You may have bested us for now!" Vypra screamed.

"But mere machines cannot outthink a real mind!" Loki shouted. "We will be back for revenge!"

"Threat ignored," the monotone reply came. With a scream of disgust, the two demons teleported away, returning to the Skull Castle. The five CyberForce Rangers abruptly turned around, walking in the direction of the Lightspeed Rangers as several humvees from Lightspeed pulled in at the same time as several cars from CyberForce pulled in as well.

"Kendrix!" Ryan shouted, uneasily running up to her. "How... how in hell did you do that?"

"This is my fault!" Kendrix sobbed, ignoring his question. "He's going to die because of me! I'm the one that told him he was a failure! I'm the one that ordered him to go into battle when he was still weak!"

"Kendrix, don't blame yourself," Ryan said, helping Kendrix up. Lightspeed soldiers had arrived with paramedics, lifting Joel onto a stretcher as Ryan hugged her.

Kendrix shook her head. "I can't do this...I can't do this anymore!"

Ryan took a step back in shock. "Kendrix, your the strongest out of all of us! We need you by our side!"

"I'm sick of all this!" Kendrix screamed. Removing her Bracer from her wrist, she threw it to the ground. "I can't do this anymore and that's final! What if I mess up again... what if I get another one of us killed?"

Ryan shook his head. "Kendrix, you're not thinking... You're the best of the best! You can't seriously mean you're going to quit... You're the one who convinced me that we have to put aside our personal problems for the better good! What kind of person are you if you ignored your own words?!"

"You don't know what I've been through!" Kendrix screamed angrily. "I was a Power Ranger before this, I fought to protect Terra Venture against the forces of Trakeena and her father as a Delta Ranger! I got myself killed saving one of my friends from losing her life, and I was given a second chance by my Saber! I came here to help get your project finally working, and what do I get? I'm forced back into a war I don't want to be a part of anymore! I fight it, because I care for the lives of innocents! So don't you dare tell me about 'practice what you preach'!"

Stooping down, Kendrix picked up the Pink Bracer. "Tell Captain Mitchell and Angela that I'm sorry. I hope you win this war... but I can't this anymore. You're in charge now, don't make my mistakes."

Pushing past the bewildered Ryan, Kendrix ran down the road, tears streaming from her eyes as she sobbed uncontrollably. Kelsey came running up with Chad to Ryan, the two glancing at Kendrix. "What happened?" Chad demanded.

Ryan bitterly stared after Kendrix, a longing look in his eyes. "We just lost one Ranger..." he whispered, looking at the Bracer in his hand. "We just lost a Power Ranger."

And casting his gaze at the ambulance as it drove off with Joel to the hospital. "And I'm afraid we're going to lose another."
