The drive back to the Aqua Base was a rather quite one. The Rangers were happy at having won their last battle, but were concerned with what Captain Mitchell planned on doing with Chad. As far as they were concerned, he was officially a Lightspeed Ranger. Upon arriving, they smiled as they entered the briefing room.
"It seems you saved the day Chad." Captain Mitchell sighed. Both Ryan and Kendrix breathed a huge sigh of relief.
"I'm sorry I had to steal the Bracer," Chad replied. "But my best intentions were in mind."
"Although I don't like the idea you got your powers by stealing them... what can I say? You registered with a high level of powers like the other, so we're accepting you as part of the Lightspeed Rangers."
"I will help you for now," Chad said with a slight bow. "But... I cannot deviate from my quest for revenge."
"I'm sure we can discuss that later!" Kendrix quickly stated.
"Yes but I stole your transformer. For that I am at your hands." Chad said.
"Very well."
"Dad!"
"You called me dad?' Captain Mitchell said as he raised an eyebrow to Ryan.
"Slip of the tongue." Ryan acidly spat. "Bill!"
"So I control your destiny, Chad?" Captain Mitchell smiled slightly. "Fine. As long as your services are needed, I require that you provide them here at Lightspeed. Is that understood?"
"Quite," Chad stated, pleased with his punishment. In one form or another, it seems he would still be able to battle for the revenge and protection of innocents.
"Just one quick question!" Joel said. "How did you do your Ha..Har...uh, that magic water attack?"
"It is a family tradition passed down throughout my bloodline. I am afraid I cannot reveal the secrets of my family line," Chad simply said with a smile.
"Ah man!" Joel whined.

Vypra stared with discontent as Dara continued to nurse Impus. "Little brat, how can she throw herself to that child's every need?"
"Something wrong Vypra?" Loki demanded. He saw the way that Vypra was staring at Dara and chuckled. "Are you perhaps jealous that my niece is the one who shall reap the rewards of caring for Impus once his mother returns?"
Vypra turned, fire burning in her eyes. "Don't you dare start in Loki! Why would I want to touch that filthy maggot with my hands? I'd rather let that pathetic half demon Dara do the job instead!"
Loki sneered, obviously enjoying this confrontation with Vypra. "I wonder what Diabolico would think, hearing such words spoken not only about his daughter, but Bansheera's son as well! He might very well throw you out like the necroplasm feeder you truly are!"
"And why would Diabolico do that?" the demoness snarled. "I'm an asset to our cause!"
"An asset?" Loki laughed. "No Vypra, you're nothing to this cause. You're worthless that's what you are. Why in the nine Spheres my brother lets you remain in Skull Castle is beyond me, but your useless as of now! If he were to hear that you are plotting against the child of Grand Dame Bansheera and his own daughter, nothing would stop him from sending you to the pit!"
Vypra merely snarled, storming away and leaving a chuckling Loki behind. Finally she stopped, punching the stone wall before her in anger. She knew quite well that Loki was partially right. Both her and Diabolico did not hold kind for the other individual. That much was obvious. But she couldn't get thrown out now! She had to prove herself not only to Loki and Diabolico, but to Dara as well, showing how powerful she truly is!
"I'll show them!" Vypra hissed, clenching her fists as she began to form a plan inside her head. "I'll show them all! You wait Loki...you just wait. You'll soon see exactly the kind of power that I possess, and then we'll see how valuable of an asset I am to not only the Grand Dame, but the Emperor as well!"

It Came From Outer Space

"Jinxer!" Vypra called, searching for the elven demon. "Where the Inferno are you?"
"You request my assistance Vypra?" the demon asked, suddenly appearing behind Vypra in a flash of flame. A smile was drawn across his face as though he were eager to help the demoness.
"In the name of Bansheera," Vypra stated, "I'm going to lead an attack on Mariner Bay...without the approval of Diabolico. With five Rangers standing in our way, we can't take chances anymore! I need a powerful monster to aid me in what I have planned!"
"Ah, but of course! I have many monsters that are capable of aiding you in your mission Vypra!" He stated, removing a large stack of cards from his cloaks and spreading them out as though he were going to deal them. Vypra flashed a disapproving glare over the cards, shaking her head.
"These aren't good... I need a much more powerful demon to aid me in this battle!" Vypra shouted, shoving Jinxer backwards. "Not these worthless monsters! Remember that monster you told me about, several days ago? I've been searching all over the Skull Castle and the surrounding area and I can't find him anywhere! I want to know where it is exactly. You failed to mention that before!"
"Vypra!" Jinxer gasped. "That demon...he is to be tamed by Impus once he matures!"
"Does it look like I care?" Vypra hissed. "I want a demon, and I want a demon now! Tell me were in the inferno I can find this demon!"
"It isn't... going to be that easy. As said before, he is not on Earth." Jinxer sighed. "You can find him in Impus' room... or rather a map leading to Demonrock in Impus's room that is."
"Perfect." Vypra smiled, her eyes flashing wickedly. "Just perfect."

Kendrix awoke with a start, staring across her room. Something had caused her to awake abruptly, but she couldn't place her finger on what exactly it was. It was as if someone had been trying to warn her of something. Finally shaking her head, she reached, checking the time and seeing that it was wake hour. Dressing and heading to the nearest mess hall, trying to remain quite as she saw Ryan in the near corner. "Hello," she said, walking past him. Ryan only gave her a half smile, offering her a seat as she took it.
Kelsey and Joel soon entered a few minutes later, grabbing their choice food items as they too began to eat, arguing about something. Chad entered, silent like Ryan, only grabbing an apple as he took a seat.
"Morning. I'm glad to see all of you are awake and ready for another day," Captain Mitchell said as he walked over, eyeing Joel as he emphasized on "all".
Joel rolled his eyes, developing a rather crude and snappy comment to reply to the comment that had obviously been thrown his way when he suddenly felt Kelsey kick him, the young brunette shaking her head. "Don't even think about it!" she mouthed.
"As you know, Ms. Fairweather has been helped us in designing your powers. If she means to improve your armor overall so you can take on vampires that the demons are unleashing, without risk of being bitten, she is going to need a live sample."
"Uh...sir...Captain Mitchell I mean," Joel said. "By...'Live sample' do y-"
"He means he wants us to capture a vampire, and bring it in," Ryan interrupted, fixing an ice-cold stare on his father. "Not only putting Ms. Fairweather's life in danger, but everyone inside this complex as well, including ours."
"It's not that," Captain Mitchell countered. "Your safety comes first. And Angela needs a vampire if she means to develop ways capable of defeating the vampires with ease, without risking your lives. I don't want another..."
The others all nodded, Kendrix knowing all to well that Captain Mitchell was unable to finish. The vampires had killed all of the past Lightspeed Rangers when they had first attacked, only herself being the only one to survive.
"We'll be sure to capture a vampire next time we encounter them," Kendrix quickly said, cutting Ryan off before he could argue about anything else with his father. She had a restless night and didn't want to be caught in the middle of a father and son disagreement argument.
"For the time being, I want all five of you out at the training room," Mitchell stated. "I'll be in contact with you after you finish your morning exercises."
As the Rangers stood to leave, Captain Mitchell suddenly raised his hand, motioning for them to sit down. "I forgot to mention. I have developed a set of activities for each of you to follow this training period. It is meant to improve, develop, and practice the skills you already have."
The occupants in the room groaned, knowing full well such 'practice' meant a large sweat induced session of working out.

Vypra entered the chambers of Impus, staring around as she saw that both Dara and the baby Impus were gone. "Taking her little dog for a walk?" Vypra chuckled to herself, exploring Impus's room.
"There has to be something in here..." Vypra said to herself. "Impus is the heir to the Dame Bansheera. She must have let some sort of great power in here to aid him in the future! But where?"
Upon searching throughout his chambers, she soon came across a blood red ivory chest, locked away with a small corner of the room with wards surrounding it. Shaking her head, she used cut her hand, using her blood to displace the wards as she withdraw the contents of the chest out, revealing it to be a map of some sort. "Well, well...what have we here?" she chuckled, unfolding the map as she turned to leave Impus's chambers.
Suddenly she felt a hand clamp down onto her shoulder, the demoness gasping as she was flung around, and found herself staring into the eyes of Lord Diabolico. "Vypra..." He murmured with great disdain. "Might I ask what in the pit you where doing in Impus's chamber?"
Vypra started shaking in her skin as Ila suddenly began to fight her, the human host suddenly rising to take control. No, not at a time like this! Vypra thought, fighting down the host body as she retook control. Glaring at Diabolico, she spoke with acid in her voice. "I was...looking for the heir of Bansheera! I meant to give him something I had found, but Dara took him somewhere. So I left his chambers and you interrupted me."
Diabolico merely stared at her, looking into her eyes, before finally turning around and leaving the room. He then stopped in the doorway, staring at her coldly. "If I find out that your planning something behind my back...you will pay for it, you hear? Pay dearly."
With a cold snarl Vypra slipped into a room where she was the lone occupant, staring at the map and the treasures that it led too. "What in the inferno...? By hell, this could be most useful to my plans."
With a laugh, Vypra vanished in a blast of flame, teleporting away. Appearing outside the nearest launch bay located outside Mariner Bay, about a hundred miles away, she snapped her fingers, a squad of vampires appearing at her side. "We have a ride to catch!" She shouted, racing forward. Thrusting her sword into the air, she decapitated a guard standing post, while the vampires killed the guards, draining them of their blood and plasma.
"Make them join us!" Vypra ordered to the lower grunts. The vampires nodded, bending over to feed their blood into the dead bodies. Soon enough the magic went to work, the guards returning to life in the army of vampires. With a cackle, she sent her magics of the now undead guards, giving them the black armor that held the vampires in the daylight.
Upon entering the outer launch bay, Vypra and her soldiers teleported aboard a shuttlecraft, quickly engaging the systems as they launched it. Using her magic, she teleported the craft outside the atmosphere into the orbit of the planet, the ship soon becoming a streak as it powered into the vastness of space, heading to a small asteroid that was seemingly locked in its orbits. "Wards seem to be holding it into place." Vypra muttered, as she teleported to the asteroid below, her vampires joining her. She then entered the nearest tunnel, following it as it twisted throughout the various structure built to house some sort of demon, soon arriving in a small and cramped chamber.
"In nine hells!" Vypra gasped, seeing a large demon mounted before her, driven into the stone. "It's...it's...he's...magnificent!"
She quickly raced over to the demon, trying desperately to awaken it, but fell back soon after to no avail, having failed to awaken it. "Can't wake it up this way...destruction should do the trick!"
Snapping her fingers, Vypra unleashed a spell that sent the asteroid on which she had found this demon hurtling through space, on a crash course for none other then Mariner Bay.
"We'll see how useless I am!" Vypra cackled, rubbing her hands together with joy as she transformed into a black ball of flame, teleporting away.

Kelsey paused, watching as everyone finished up his or her assigned exercises. Captain Mitchell had assigned both her and Joel to run the laps, sticking Ryan and Kendrix to practice their shooting in the target range, and leaving Chad to practice his aerobics and gymnastics.
"Well done," a voice rang over the intercom. "Grab a towel and hit the deck in five minutes."
The Rangers did as told, quickly drying themselves down after the exercises, and entering the above deck. They expected Captain Mitchell to be there, but they instead found Ms. Fairweather waiting, Joel flashing yet another one of his "famous" smiles.
"If you're here about the vampire, we haven't had a chance to catch one yet." Chad said, half glaring at the others. "We've been locked up here all morning 'practicing' as the Captain so kindly put it."
"That's what we're here for." Ms. Fairweather sarcastically smiled. "As Captain Mitchell has indeed told you, I need a live specimen. But that is not what I am here for, I was sent to show you the latest project that I have been working on...the Rescue Runners."
"What the hell are Rescue Runners?" Joel asked, only to get a snappy stare from Ms. Fairweather.
"Follow me," the woman said, the Rangers following her onto a nearby lift as it carried them to one of the lower decks. As they journeyed throughout the various corridors that lead throughout the aqua base complex, they soon came to a viewing room, Angela leading them to a two-way mirror as the lights were brought on in the below in the large base room. As Ms. Fairweather brought the lights on in the below room in which they were staring out at, the Rangers were shocked to see large vehicles occupying the room below.
Joel and Kelsey both gasped in awe, Ryan and Kendrix exchanging knowing looks, while Chad stared with amazement. "These are the Rescue Runners. Currently there are five Rescue Runners, one built for each of you to use in battle."
"Pyro One is yours, Ryan. Not only is it equipped with armor for battle, it contains two extendable ladders capable of reaching high places," Fairweather stated, pointing to the red vehicle. Ryan nodded his approval, seeing it possessed some similarities somewhat to a fire engine.
"Kendrix, your Rescue Runner, Medi Two. It was built to mimic an ambulance. It contains an enormous storage space for transporting civilians and vehicles to safety during various situations, like monster attacks, if you will." Ms Fairweather stated. Kendrix frowned. It wasn't the same as her Star Beast, but she had to guess that it would do somewhat.
"Great." She half smiled.
"Lemme guess," Joel said as he interrupted Angela before she could talk. "The green one is mine."
Ms. Fairweather smiled, having engineered this one for Joel's "sky cowboy" abilities. "Yes. Aero Three is yours Joel. It is the only Rescue Runner capable of flight, and it is capable of lifting the other Rescue Runners, as well as unloading and carrying such components into battle."
"Geo Four is yours, Kelsey. It was built specifically for Earth based battle, and is equipped with a powerful engine, eight wheels, for not only power, but for traction as well." Ms. Fairweather stated. Kelsey walked to the edge of the window, nodding.
"Can't wait to take that thing out for a spin," she laughed, giving Joel a high-five as they laughed.
"Hydro Five is yours, Chad. This Rescue Runner's specialty is water usage. It contains two high-powered water canons mounted on the top, which shoot large streams of water, capable of reaching blazes on tall buildings, or giving someone a nice hard shove." Doctor Fairweather pointed to the large blue vehicle. Chad nodded with great approval, eyeing the Rescue Runner with appreciation.
"Glad to see you've reviewed the Rescue Runners we've built for you." Captain Mitchell smiled as he entered the room. He handed a folder to each occupant in the room, instructions on how to operate the vehicles, etc. "We'll be setting up some simulations to train you later on just in case the situation ever arises to use them."
Kendrix and the others nodded, quickly agreeing. Captain Mitchell moved to say something, when the alarm bells began to ring around the base, the five instantly leaping to their feet, and running to a lift that quickly brought them to the command room. "Report!" Captain Mitchell barked as a lieutenant came running up.
"Sir we have a bogey!" the lieutenant responded. "We have an incoming object of unknown origin heading towards Mariner Bay. For some reason, we didn't detect until after it entered the atmosphere. We think it could be an asteroid."
"Shit!" Ryan swore, before his father responded. "How the hell could you not detect it until after it was on a crash course for Mariner?"
"It wasn't our sensors. Something was blocking it purposefully. It's like it wanted us to know at the last minute that it was bearing down on us!" The lieutenant argued back. "Captain, what do we do?"
"How long until it strikes?"
"Five minutes!"
"Damn!" Captain Mitchell swore. "Not nearly enough time to evacuate the city. Sound the city alarm and try to evacuate the taller buildings! I want everyone out of there now!"
"Yes sir!" The lieutenant nodded, running back to his station. Within minutes, sirens were blaring throughout Mariner, the small asteroid already bearing down upon the city. Kendrix gripped the railing nearby, strapping herself onto it. Suddenly the world lurched beneath her, throwing her into the air besides the others as they came crashing down onto the ground, the meteor striking the center of Mariner and causing a large earthquake to ensure. Buildings exploded nearby the impact site, a large crater forming in the middle.
"Sir I'm getting readings that a demon is located in that area!" a tech officer shouted, Captain nodding to the others.
"Damnit!" Ryan shouted, drawing his transformation bracer out. "I am so seriously pissed this time round!"
"Joel, Kelsey!" Kendrix ordered. "I want the two of you to find out what in hell is in that crater!"
"Yes sir!" Joel said, before suddenly pausing. "I mean...er, what the hell. Later major!"
Kendrix could only chuckle slightly, turning to Chad and Ryan as the two ran. "We're going to deploy our Rescue Runners. I'm gong to be evacuating citizens who are trapped in streets by fallen debris. Chad, plan on putting out the fire outbreaks across the city. As for you Ryan, I want you to save people who are trapped in the building around impact site!"
"Will do," Chad said, breaking into a run as he hit his activation plate. In a flash of energy his armor had built up his body while he tore down the lift. Kendrix ran to follow when she suddenly found Ryan's hand on her shoulder.
"Good job, boss," Ryan said. "Lightspeed Engage!" he shouted, engaging his armor as Kendrix was quick to follow. "Did you say something?" he asked as the two-joined Chad on the lift as it carried them to the base that contained the Rescue Runners. Kendrix shook her head, not wanting to explain what 'Let's Jet!' meant at the time. Arriving they found Ms. Fairweather waiting.
"We've loaded the Rescue Runners onto the Rail Liners, five individual carriers we have built for you. All of the Rail Liners form a link up Carrier train for the five of you to pilot. But since only three of you are here, we'll man the other two by autopilot. That way Joel and Kelsey will be able to use their Rescue Runners if needed." Ms. Fairweather stated. The three nodded, entering their individual Rail Liner, and engaging the engines as a huge lift from the train like carriers upwards, linking them up to form a train.
"Rail Liner is a go!" Ryan shouted. Engaging the main drives, the train rose into the launch bay. The Launch Bay rose above sea level, slowly rising out of the ocean as a huge track extended from it. Engaging the thrusters, Chad, Kendrix, and Ryan brought the train firing forward, launching from the launch bay as it jetted them down the tracks leading to the city.
"Major!" Angela stated over the comm, gaining the attention of Kendrix. "The track ends right outside the city. From there you can extend the bay doors and your Rail Liner will deploy your Rescue Runner out!"
"Copy that!" Kendrix shouted, motioning for Ryan and Chad to follow suit. The Rail Liners quickly deployed the Rescue Runners as the three Lightspeed Rangers brought the vehicles charging into the city. "Remember your assignments and try to save those in danger of losing their lives first! I want the least amount of casualties as possible!"
"Roger!" Chad and Ryan responded.

Joel and Kelsey stealthy crept towards the crater now formed by the meteor in the center of the city. A large roar echoed from the smoking hole, both Rangers drawing their weapons. "What the hell is in there?"
"How do you expect me to know?" Kelsey replied.
A rock-like demon emerged from the pit, screaming as his eyes lit with fire. With effortless streams of flame, he knocked the two Rangers away, and with a scream came charging forward. "Demonrock..." the demon seemed to gasp in a ragged voice. "All...life...die!"
"Get the hell away from me!" Kelsey screamed, slashing at Demonrock with her Tonfu Strikers, slashing into the demon. Joel swung around, landing a kick to the chest of the demon, his Aero Blades tearing through the air as he slashed the back of the demon. Yet the demon seemed to go unaffected, rushing forward and grabbing Joel by the neck as he hurled him away before spinning and blasting the Yellow Ranger with flames. The two Rangers fell to the ground, breathing heavily.
"This guy is so kicking our ass," Kelsey growled. "And I'm not the type of girl that likes to get my ass kicked!"
"Too bad for you then!" a voice chortled. Spinning around, the two found themselves cornered on one side by Demonrock, on the other side by Vypra. Vypra quickly snapped her fingers, vampires forming around her. "The only ticket out of this battle is death!"
Demonrock roared, rushing forward and knocking the Rangers aside as he tore for the vampires before him. The vampires screamed in surprise, the demon smashing into them and throwing them aside as he began to tear into them, tearing the limbs off of some while hurling flame at the other and causing them to disintegrate where they stood.
"What in Asmodian's name do you think your doing?!" Vypra screamed.
But Demonrock gave no reply, instead staring at the one called Vypra before him with deep hatred in his eyes. He tore across the ground, smashing into her and hurling her out of the way. "He's a monster...he can't be controlled!" Vypra moaned, backing away. She felt like a coward, but knew she couldn't let herself get killed by some sort of crazy demon. "You'll pay for this!"
In a burst of fire she teleported away, Kelsey tapping into the comm as she contacted the aqua base. "So is it Ila or is it not? I got the video scanners right on her, hope you got a clear picture!"
"My god...that was Ila!" Mitchell's voice rang over the comm. "We'll talk about it later! Sedate one of those vampires so we can bring it in!"
"Already on that my good old friend." Joel shouted, tearing through the remaining vampires, killing them all with his blaster. He set it on stun, blasting the last one in the area. It fell to his knees, Kelsey nodding. "Captain, send in a team to collect your prize. We have to find out where in hell that demon called Demonrock went!"
"We copy...we'll have a team there soon to pick up the vampire. Just find that demon and stop him before he destroy the whole city!"

Vypra returned to Skull Castle, breathing heavily as she gripped her knees. What the hell had she released? It even attacked a fellow demon! It was like some sort of wild animal, unable to be controlled by anything! "My father has a bone to pick with you!" Dara snapped, entering the chamber. "He's a bit rather angry, wants to know what you've been planning all along! Do you have any idea what you have released?!"
"No," Vypra acidly spat. "But I'm guessing I'm about to find out." She brushed past Dara, tossing her black hair back as she entered the chamber that Diabolico resided in, pausing as the golden demon stared at her with great fury burning in his eyes.
"What have you done?" he hissed. "Give me the map that led to Demonrock!"
Obliging, Vypra sighed as she handed Diabolico the map. So much for trying to make a fool of him. "Demonrock is one of the most brutal and powerful demons there are. We couldn't tame him, so Bansheera had us lock him away in an asteroid. The reason this map was in Impus's chambers was because Bansheera hoped that when her son had finally matured to an adult stage, he would head out and tame Demonrock so this wild beast could be of some use to the Emperor! But no, you had to interfere!"
"I did my job didn't I?" Vypra snarled. "By the Empire, look at the city. It's all shaken up from the meteor hitting . And soon enough, Demonrock will have destroyed the city!"
Diabolico reached forward, as if about to snap the neck of Vypra in his hand before pausing suddenly. With a cruel smile he turned his back, merely walking away before stopping. "Do not involve yourself with Demonrock. Allow Loki to finish up the problem that you have created!" Then whirling around, the golden demon stormed away. Vypra could only giggle, leaving the chamber as she teleported into the room that Jinxer resided in.
"Vypra!" the demon said, quite surprised she would return after her tantrum earlier. "How may I be of service?"
"I want a card that can enhance Demonrock. I want him to destroy the city in his unstable rages!" Vypra hissed. "Any idea what could give him the extra power boost?"
"But of course!" Jinxer said, unfolding his deck of cards as he removed a black card. "This card has magical properties that can enhance a demon to full power! Merely add your blood to it and throw it at the demon, or at the remains of a demon, and he will maximize in size to that of a giant!"
Vypra grinned, taking the card into her hand. "Perfect!"

Ryan backed to the nearest skyscraper, twisting Pyro-1 around and extending the ladders. Quickly scanning the building for people trapped inside, he found people trapped in the elevator shaft, the smoke of fires having knocked the people unconscious. Leaping out of Pyro-1, he drew his Shield Saber, running up the ladder as he leapt inside. He found the doors leading into the elevator shaft were sealed shut from the burning flames, as he quickly brought the Shield Saber slashing through to knock the flames away.
"You're going to be alright!" Ryan shouted, taking the mother and her two into his arms, leaping out of the shaft and running down to the ladder as he leapt on it, sliding to the ground below. "You'll be fine, just be careful and head for safety!"
Ryan glanced up to see a huge stream of water slam into the building, dosing the flames out. Glancing at Chad's Rescue Runner, he waved, leaping back into Pyro-1 as he engaged the systems and brought it swinging around.
"Kelsey, Joel! Get the hell up here!" Ryan shouted. "We'll take care of the demon later!"
"Right!" the two shouted over the comm. Joel was soon inside his Rail Liner, deploying Aero-3 as Kelsey deployed Geo-5. Joel quickly engaged the thrusters, dipping Aero-3 as he brought a large amount of water into the Rescue Runner, flying over the city and dousing the flames with the water, as he rained it over the fires.
"I need everyone to evacuate!" Kendrix shouted over the comm. People running throughout the streets in panic glanced up as the Medi-2 came to a rolling stop on the street. "Everyone enter the Medi-2 unit as the ramp descends. Please evacuate in a proper manner and hold the safety of others on the same level you do your own!"
People broke into a run as a huge ramp was deployed, the bay doors lifting up. Once Kendrix had evacuated everyone within the surrounding area, she engaged the thrusters, driving to an area unaffected by the fires and unloading the citizens.
"Major!" Kelsey reported as she worked to remove debris that could pose to be danger to innocents. "The fires are spreading, we need to find a quick way to finish this fast or the whole city could burn down!"
"Captain?" Kendrix questioned. "What do you think?"
"Joel, deploy hook attachments!" Captain Mitchell shouted. "Get Aqua-5 in the air so you can fly through the city and put the blazes out from the sky!"
"Can it do that?" Joel asked. He then deployed the hooks, swinging past Aqua-5 as the hooks attached to either side of Chad's Rescue Runner. Although the engines strained a bit, Joel was able to coax Aero-3 into the air, swinging Chad's Rescue Runner in a complete circle as it engaged full thrusters, blasting the city with a storm of water. The other three Rangers watched as the water flooded throughout the streets and over buildings, dosing out all remaining flames.
"I think that should do it!" Joel said, letting Aqua-5 unhook from Aero-3. "Now we just have to deal with Demonrock! How fun!"

Vypra teleported to the area that Demonrock was currently storming through, the wild demon hurling flame this way and that. "Time to upgrade you in the name of the Emperor!" She shouted, cutting her hand and letting her blood drip onto the card. Throwing the bloody card into the back of Demonrock, the demon bent over, clutching his back as he began to scream in pain.
In the corner of a nearby area, Loki watched Vypra with interest. "So that is her game plan is it? But what gave her the sudden interest in proving herself?"
"By the Inferno," Vypra whispered as Demonrock maximized in size, expanding to tomwer over most of the buildings. "Nothing is going to survive with him that big...Jinxer...you're a genius!"
With a scream, the now gestalt size Demonrock leapt towards the buildings of the city, quickly smashing his fist through the nearest one as a large chunk of the building flew out over the city. With a cold laugh, Vypra nodded her approval as she teleported away. Loki emerged, fuming.
"Diabolico will here of this! Specifically disobeying his command to let me take control of this operation! How dare she! I could have easily tamed that desthkri! Of all nine hells, my brother will most certainly hear of this!"

Captain Mitchell swore as a now giant sized Demonrock appeared on the radar, smashing through the nearest building. "How the hell did they manage to make that insane demon get so big?"
"Sir!" Fairweather stated. "The Rangers can combat this!"
"Alright," Captain Mitchell sighed. "Rangers, we're uploading data on how to combine your Rail Runners together to form the Lightspeed MegaRescue! Execute the plans immediately so you can stop Demonrock!"
"Copy!" the five replied.
"Initiate gestalt formation now!" Kendrix shouted. "MegaRescue, Engage!"
Medi-2 and Geo-4 engaged forward, racing side by side while they lifted up, forming legs. Joel deployed the hooks of the Aero-3, grabbing a hold of Aqua-5, lifting the Rescue Runner into the air. Then unhooking the Aero-3 mid-run, the Rescue Runner fell down, shifting as it hooked onto Medi-2 and Geo-4, forming a torso and legs. Joel swung the Aero-3 around a second, deploy the hooks as he grabbed hold of Pyro-1, lifting the Rescue Runner upwards. As the Rescue Runner slowly descended, hooking to the torso created by Aqua-5, arms unfolded. Aero-3 then shifted, transforming into a head, hook to the back of Pyro-1, the gestalt hooking together finally.
"Lightspeed MegaRescue, Online!"
Just like the days of the Powers Rangers, it seemed that these five Rangers combined their vehicles together as well to form a gestalt as well.
"Rangers, this is the Lightspeed MegaRescue." Angela stated. "It is capable of both long and short distance combat. MegaRescue's primary attacks are the Rescue Saber and its fists which can be deployed at long range distance at the speed of Mach 5."
Joel whistled. "Damn fast..."
Chad found himself chuckling. "Haven't seen people combining their mecha together since the days of the Power Rangers."
"These aren't mecha," Kelsey corrected with a smile. "These are the Rescue Runners." She chuckled to herself as she got a snide laugh from Chad while the Rangers engaged the MegaRescue, swinging it around to face Demonrock swung to face them. With a roar, the demon came charging forward, MegaRescue dashing to the side in bare seconds.
Flipping forward, the MegaRescue drove its fist into Demonrock, sending the demon reeling backwards. With a second punch, the demon roared, chunks of rock and debris flying from his body as the gestalt began to punch away, sending the demon hurtling backwards and barely missing smashing through a building.
"Careful!" Captain Mitchell snapped. "Our job is to protect the city, not cause more damage!"
"Sorry!" Ryan snapped back. "Guess we got a little carried away!"
Deploying the Rescue Saber, MegaRescue gripped the blade defensively as it brought it slashing down upon the demon. Demonrock roared, hurling his fist forward and sending the MegaRescue stumbling backwards. "Shit!" Chad screamed. "Watch it!"
The Rangers glanced up as Demonrock began to hurl huge streams of black flame at the MegaRescue, the Rangers engaging the thrusters and blasting away just as the flames came jetting their way. Swinging the sword in a circle, they drove through the flames that drew near them, sheathing the saber as they tore forward, Ryan engaging MegaRescue's fists.
"Full force!" Ryan screamed at the top of his lungs. The MegaRescue pressed its arms forward as the fists launched at super speed, firing from the arms of MegaRescue. They began to repeatedly slam into Demonrock, who screamed in pain as the fists beat him into near oblivion, black blood dripping from the demon as he fell to one knee. MegaRescue did a slight twist as the fists returned, withdrawing the Rescue Saber as Ryan extended the blade.
"Engaging primary attack!" Kendrix ordered. "Go!"
MegaRescue hurled itself forward, flame and energy ripping around the blade. They swung it forward with great speed, slicing once through Demonrock, before swinging around and slicing again. The second energized slash tore through the demon, as the MegaRescue moved in for the final strike.
Leaping into the air, the MegaRescue tore down, slamming into Demonrock and decapitating the demon with its energized slash, the remains of Demonrock falling to the ground in a massive explosion that consumed the gestalt mecha. Yet as everyone in Lightspeed watched to see if the MegaRescue survived, the MegaRescue emerged from the flames un-scorched, quickly extinguishing the flames as it gave a victorious punch in the sky.
"I'd say we did a good job didn't we, Captain?" Ryan demanded of his father.
Captain Mitchell smiled, shaking his head. "Wonderful job son, wonderful job."
As MegaRescue unhooked into the individual Rescue Runners, Ryan privately contacted his dad. "Don't think anything of this personally...but not too bad job yourself having your people constructing these things. We actually managed to save a lot of lives today you know."
Captain Mitchell could only smile smugly.

"What happened father?" Dara demanded. "How did Demonrock manage to grow to the size of a giant?"
"Something I would like to know myself!" Diabolico growled, his voice etched greatly with disdain. Neither he Emperor or Bansheera would be pleased to learn that they had lost a valuable and powerful demon such as Demonrock to heroes protecting Mariner Bay.
"Think on the bright side, father," Dara said, trying to comfort Diabolico. "He went out with a bang, almost nearly destroying the city if the Rangers hadn't formed that MegaRescue of theirs!"
Loki soon entered the chamber, seeing the reaction that his brother gave and smiled deeply. "You have seen the defeat of Demonrock, have you no doubt? How was Demonrock given the power to grow so that the Rangers could destroy him before I had a chance to recapture him and bring him to our side? The answer is rather quite simple that is, it's Vypra!"
"Vypra what?" Diabolico hissed. Vypra entered the chamber, a smug look on her face, followed by Jinxer. "What have you done?"
"Sorry Lord Diabolico, but I've seen Loki at work in the past before, and very often he fails. So I figured that rather then have the Rangers simply destroy Loki and Demonrock, I used a magic card that Jinxer gave me to make Demonrock grow to giant size with hopes he could get the job done. Obviously that planned failed when the Lightspeed Ranger formed that battle machine and defeated him."
Jinxer glanced back and forth between Vypra, realizing he was caught in the middle of a fight he did not want to be caught in. With a screech he ran from the room, Dara shaking her head and following him. She needed to check on Impus anyway to make sure that Bansheera's heir was fine.
"Get the hell out of my chambers!" Diabolico roared. Vypra seemed to take great delight in his anger, a smile crossing her face as she spun and left the room. Diabolico gripped his fist in anger, knowing he had to contain his rage to not do something he knew he would have to pay greatly for later.
"Brother...I do not trust her..." Loki said once more.
"As you have said many time in the past before." Diabolico growled, turning his gaze away.

"The specimen that you have provided us with has been permanently sedated, we took extra measures to make sure it would never awaken. We are currently performing tests and analyzing data about the vampire, through the ghoul you have given us," Angela stated. "Congratulations, Rangers."
"Don't worry doc, I did try my best," Joel said, flashing her a white tooth grin. Ms. Fairweather gave a half smile, before returning to the subject.
"And yes, it seems as Major Morgan has suspected, Ila has in fact been taken over by one of the demon spirits and transformed into the beast that we now call Vypra," the doctor continued. "As of now, we don't know if the demon has full control over the host body, or if Ila can respond in any way."
"So basically this demon has control over her until we find to free her?" Ryan asked. He remembered Ila from his days spent with her testing the Lightspeed powers, and prayed to god she was holding out for now, having a demon functioning with almost complete control over her body.
"What about the other demons?" Chad asked. "Do you think they're host bodies as well for the demon spirits as well?"
"Again, I cannot make that assumption. They seem to be full demon, there is nothing human about them." Ms. Fairweather said. "The only ones that we can assume are being used as hosts are Dara and Vypra."
"So what do we do?" Kelsey asked. "Beat the living hell out of them until the demons give up the host bodies is something?"
Ms. Fairweather shook her head. "I doubt that, that could happen. I suggest that we fight them like any other demon we may encounter, because part human or no human, they still pose a threat to all of the city and its people. Understand?"
"Got it." Kendrix smiled. She knew that with the five of them together, they could defend this city from now on. Because with the Lightspeed MegaRescue on their side, they would be able to defend the city and Earth no matter what.
But yet a voice told her, that wouldn't be the case at all.
